Crazy Legs has been moving his body as a b-boy for 35 years and every year they put on a free concert in Newark, Nj’s  during the 7th Annual Lincoln Park Music Festival  to help celebrate  the art/element of hiphop. Many graced the stage yesterday with mic in hand and a crowd ready to party. The vending booths were cashing in as Rock Steady supporters bought jewelry, incense, t-shirts and food like funnel cakes, cupcakes, whiting, bbq and shrimp kabobs. The Rock Steady Crew came out in full effect and broke the stage down as they whirlwinded, pop and locked with energy and pizzazz. There were generations there to help celebrate with Crazy Legs through mics, dancing and  turntables. The list of performers was long from Craig G to Mr. Cheeks and DJs Evil Dee to JS-1 but EOW held down the mic as host. The vibe was nice and the sun kept the rain away minus a couple minor showers but Lincoln Park was not going to let that little bit stop them.

The Wire actor, JD Williams was in attendance with his daughter and Nitty Scott held it down for the ladies rocking the crowd out. Missy B of SwurvRadio with emcee Rah Digga backstage where they had press tents and the popular liquor tent sponsored by Ciroc and Tequila 1800 as they launched their new Coconut flavor.  Black Sheep took the stage by storm but the crowds energy went crazy for hometown veteran Redman. From 2pm to almost 10pm at night it was a great day of hiphop, networking and celebrating with NO DRAMA, no arrests. Just a good day in hiphop history executed successfully and in true form. Salute.

PEACE!
