The rebranded iTunes Music Festival will see major artists Florence + The Machine, One Direction and Disclosure headline this years event. In it’s eighth year, what is now the Apple Music Festival, will also have none other than Mr Pharrell Williams on the line up.
Kicking off on September 19, the 10 day event will be hosted at the usual, Roundhouse theatre in London and Williams is scheduled to perform on September 26. For people like myself who will not be able to attend the event, live streaming will be available throughout via Apple Music and behind-the-scenes footage will also be available via Apple Connect.
Apple issued a press release providing more information about the rebrand and how the event will work this year. In the past the event was a 30 day experience, with one free concert every night of the month (September).
The press release also featured quotes from the artists and their thoughts on performing at this 2015 Festival:
“Wow, I’m so grateful to be performing at the Apple Music Festival. The Roundhouse is such a historic venue … there’s always a special energy in the crowd. Thank you for having me!” – Pharrell Williams
“It’ll be great to be back in London and we can’t wait to perform for our fans in the Roundhouse and around the world on Apple Music! See you there!” – Niall, One Direction
“We’re excited to be playing at this year’s Apple Music Festival at the wonderful Roundhouse!” – Florence + The Machine
“We’re super excited to play our first ever show for Apple Music Festival at the Roundhouse, one of our favorite venues in London. It’s also the day our album’s released so that makes it extra special!” – Disclosure
