Yahoo! Movies had somewhat of a little chit-chat with Captain America: Civil War stars Chris Evans and Anthony Mackie, they were questioned on how easily sides will be defined in the upcoming Marvel movie. Interestingly, it doesn’t sound as if Iron Man is going to necessarily be viewed as the villain (he seemed to be for the most part in the comic book version of Civil War) because it appears as if Marvel are hoping the “Accords” will divide fans as they do The Avengers. Which is smart, it would be too easy for Tony to simply be the bad guy to Cap’s good guy, that isn’t interesting.
The 2 also bring up Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and playfully pitch their idea for a buddy comedy starring their two characters. “We have appearances by the other two Chrises, Pratt comes in, Hemsworth comes in, ScarJo comes in and does this amazing Josephine Baker lounge thing in a banana skirt,” Mackie jokes. “It’s pretty dope.” Be sure to watch both of the video interviews below for their comments in full.
In the film, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers are going to go at it, as well as a few other superhero showdowns in Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. Now thanks to Heroic Hollywood‘s well placed source, we know of at least one sure-to-be epic showdown.
The new Spider-Man Tom Holland landed in Germany recently to begin shooting his scenes for the movie, and word is one of those scenes will have him facing off against Captain America.
Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
