Washington – Despite the efforts of a Republican targeted shooting spree by James Hodgkins the game will go on. Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle will continue their congressional baseball game tradition. James Hodgkins shot and wounded Majority Whip Steve Scalise who is still in critical condition but it will not stop both republicans and democrats coming together as Americans in unity.
Despite all the talk about bipartisanship in the wake of the shooting, the baseball game will be very partisan.
with over 1 Million raised, The charities that will benefit include The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Washington, The Washington Literacy Center, and the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation.
Democrats and Republicans playing baseball is something we should see on the regular. Just the symbolism showing the world that you can have differences but come together is an important message we need to see more of from our government and the and especially from our President.
As Americans, we can’t let one 🍊 turn the whole crop bad. Even if it’s just for one day. Let’s hope it last longer than just today.
