Straight from Milwaukee, project mastermind Jon Briggz has come forth to unintentionally form a movement – reaching out and giving a sense of meaning to his hard partying crew. Embracing both the dancers and the intellectuals, We R The Lost’s new album Still Lost sees the group coming together to form powerful hip-hop that covers a variety of emotions and ideas. We R The Lost consists of Jon Briggz, Bili Ro$e, Damir Balo, and Sir Castro.
Briggz has a great voice for hip-hop. The production all through the album is pretty solid, as each track spans different themes as a simple party jam to politically conscious rhyming. Regardless of the content or lyrics, the beats are always hard-hitting. Just take a listen to “The Times” up above and see for yourself. The track begins with a soundbite of an inspiration speech from Dr. King, really establishing the mood and tone of the song. The song is clearly touching on the violent times we find ourselves living in today, with lyrical accuracy and a great trap beat to boot riding underneath it all. We R The Lost definitely has talent, go listen to Still Lost. Definitely bumps in the whip.
As Jon Briggz continues to work on projects for himself and other members of his team, he is also working with other Milwaukee artists on
a group project slated for release later this year. Leveraging the strength of the hottest rappers in the city combined with his own team,
he looks to put the Milwaukee hip-hop scene back on the radar. With the lessons of the past and a vision for the future, Jon Briggz is poised to
bring his message and his music to the world.
